Pretty much exclusively aquatic, they lay their eggs in burrows which can be available from both underwater, or merely above the waterline. They're only located in fresh new drinking water from central Queensland together the waterways feeding in to the Pacific, about the East Coastline, all the way down to Victoria and spherical to South Australia
